Do you sell gift cards? Absolutely! You can purchase them right on the webcart or call us at 206-720-7017 for a gift card in any denomination. Makes a wonderful gift for new parents, get well soon or someone you just really care about.
Does it come fresh or frozen? All the entrées come fresh made to order unless you order some of our Freezer Goodies! We suggest ordering more frequently and eating fresh, although many of the items are freezable. The items we consider to be more freezable are marked on the menu and on the food label.
How do I reheat the entrées? For best results, we suggest cooking in your oven until warm through out, but everything is microwaveable, too. Everything has individual cooking instructions right on the label. Since microwaves are so different, start with 1.5 minutes and then check your food and see if you need more time.
How does the food arrive? The entrées are beautifully garnished and packaged in wonderful, airtight serving trays that are fully ovenable, microwaveable, recyclable and freezable. Your delivery will arrive in a gel-ice packed styrofoam cooler to your work or home between 8am-6pm and you don't need to be present. Just leave the cooler and gel-ice packs out for us on your next delivery. If you won't be ordering for a while, feel free to call us at 206-720-7017 or email us at clientcare@delicious-planet.com to arrange a cooler pickup.
What are the entrée portions like? The Regular Entrée is just about right for one person. It is 12oz of food and is ~ 4oz of protein, 4oz of veggies and 4oz of grain.
Any commitments? No cancellations after the noon deadline, but otherwise no commitments or contracts. Just order whenever you need food. We also have a complimentary personal shopper program for people who would like to get set up with an ongoing plan of any quantity and frequency. How organic is it? Our kitchen is organic right down to the fresh spices and oils. For example, we use Draper Valley Organic Chicken, Shelton's Turkey, Painted Hills Natural Beef and only Sustainably Harvested Wild Fish. We use only the highest quality ingredients because we have a serious grudge against chemicals, hormones and inhumane treatment of animals. Plus, organic tastes a lot better. We also compost all our scraps through Cedar Grove.
Are you using responsible packaging? Our deli containers and lids are fully compostable!!! Unlike most petroleum-based plastic deli containers that the city won't even recycle (number doesn't matter, only shape), these break down naturally, so just throw 'em in your compost or yard waste bin. The entrée containers are recyclable. The soup containers are recycleable, and the rest of the plastic is COMPOSTABLE!! Lots of great options are coming up, however, not many companies want to pay extra for responsible packaging, so we encourage you to please ask all of your favorite places to use compostable packaging. (and organic ingredients too!)
Do you do low-carb diets? Our meals have almost no refined carbs already, but if you want no carbs at all, choose an item listed as low carb, or call us at 206-720-7017.
What about food allergies and sensitivities? Food allergies and sensitivities are our specialty! Our food is already low in many common allergens such as Wheat and Dairy. Our menu items will list what common allergens the item is free of.
What forms of payment do you take? We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express.
Can I track my order online? Absolutely! You can view your order status online. When your order says "Delivered", it has already arrived or will be arriving that day.
